Case Study: ILLUMINATED BODYFORMS BRIGHTEN UP RIGBY & PELLER IMAGE
Rare Basic helped to create a stylish window display for Rigby & Peller's Knightsbridge store, which re-invigorated their window, achieving a younger and more dynamic appearance.
Rigby & Peller, famous for supplying lingerie to the Royal family, wanted to enliven their windows to appeal to a younger clientele, whilst at the same time retaining their current customer base. Gay Spanton, Managing Director of Rare Basic Ltd, explains: "Our brief was to provide bodyforms that would brighten up the window display and give it a younger look, whilst at the same time ensuring that the contours, quality and style of the materials were accentuated".
The'Sculpture Brought to Light' range provided their solution. It illuminated every contour of the female body, making them ideal for displaying lingerie.
The realistic bodyforms allow the fitted underwear for which Rigby & Peller is renowned, to fit and hang to natural feminine contours.
Jill Kenton, Director of Operations of Rigby & Peller said:
"We love to put the bright pinks and pastel colours on the forms as they give such a wonderful fresh feel. I believe that we now have the correct image for our windows, as window displays play a huge part in visual merchandising".
The result is a very attractive and fresh, young looking window, it provided a perfect visual contrast and complemented to the antique windows of the store, it achieved an image that appealed to all generations of Rigby & Peller's customers.
